Bexel CDE is a cloud application that can be used simply by accessing it through an internet browser. However, due to the complexity of the BIM model and the amount of data processed, it is highly recommended that you set up your browser for maximum performance in order to maximize efficiency in CDE operation.

  1. Turn off Chrome In order to make sure all background processes are stopped, open Task Manager by searching in Start Menu or using shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Esc
  2. In Task Manager under Processes, identify Google Chrome group of active processes. Right-click and choose End task to terminate all browser processes. Close Task Manager after completion
  3. Open NVIDIA ControlPanel by searching in Start Menu and clicking the icon
  4. Go to Program Settings
  5. Choose Google Chrome (chrome.exe) from drop-down list. In case Google Chrome is not listed in your programs list, click Add and navigate to C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
  6. Choose High-performance NVIDIA processor from drop-down list as a preferred graphics processor for Chrome browser
  1. Open Settings by searching in Start Menu and clicking the icon
  2. Navigate to the System tab
  3. Then Display
  4. Choose the Graphics settings option
  5. Open Google Chrome tab. If the program is not listed, go to the Add desktop app option from the top of this window and navigate to this location C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe to locate the application
  6. Choose High Performance option in GPU preference
  7. Make sure that Optimizations for windowed games is set to Off
  1. Open Google Chrome, and navigate to Options (Three dots icon in upper right corner)
  2. Choose Settings optino from options list
  3. Navigate to System settings
  4. Turn On option Use graphics acceleration when available to complete setup

Setup Microsoft Edge for maximum performance

  1. Open Microsoft Edge, and navigate to Options (Three dots icon in the upper-right corner)
  2. Choose the Settings option from the list of options
  3. Navigate to System settings
  4. Turn On option Use graphics acceleration when available to complete setup. Click Restart to activate new settings

5. To ensure graphics acceleration works properly, go to Performance settings within the same System and performance window

6. Make sure that option Turn on efficiency mode when connected to power is disabled

  1. Open Settings by searching in Start Menu and clicking the icon
  2. Navigate to System tab
  3. Then Display
  4. Choose the Graphics settings option
  5. Open Microsoft Edge tab. If program is not listed, go to the Add desktop app option from the top of this window and navigate to this location C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application –> msedge.exe , new_msedge.exe to locate the application
  6. Choose High Performance option in GPU preference
