IDS Check Estimated reading: 3 minutes Information Delivery Specification (IDS) is a standard developed by buildingSMART International for defining information requirements in a way that is easily read by humans and interpreted by computers. It is a document that defines the information requirements for a construction project, including the format, level of detail, and level of information required for each stage of the project lifecycle. In BEXEL Manager, there are two workflows for automated data checks, one is verification of BIM model data based on Information Delivery Specification Templates and the second is an automated IDS check based on the international BuildingSmart standard. Property check results can be reviewed and analysed in the IDS Check module. 1. Results of the Property Checker analysis, created in BEXEL Manager and published to the CDE project, can be viewed in the IDS Check module2. In the module toolbar, the user can select the desired project Phase from the dropdown menu. The displayed IDS check results will update accordingly, reflecting the requirements and validations specific to the selected phase. Empty fields in the table indicate that the specific category or property was not required to be checked in the selected project phase3. The Collapse All and Expand All buttons allow you to collapse or expand the entire result section for easier navigation Note In the Property Checker, users can define multiple project phases and specify which properties should be verified in each phase. Phases can be custom-defined to suit project-specific needs. The predefined phases include: Concept Design, Design Development, Issue for Construction, As-Built, and Facility Maintenance. 4. To delete a published IDS Check, select the Delete option. A confirmation dialog will appear, allowing the user to confirm or cancel the action5. By enabling the Color Coded toggle button, the user can apply color coding to model elements in the Viewer based on the results of the IDS Check6. To select model elements related to a specific result item in the table, click the Select Elements button.By clicking the arrow next to the button, users can choose to select specific result types: Passed, Partially Passed, Partially And Not Passed, or Not Passed elements Note The color applied to model elements in the Viewer changes dynamically based on the Category or Property selected in the IDS Check result table. 7. To view all IDS Check results related to the selected model elements, click the Filter By Element Selection button. The result list will automatically update to display only the checks relevant to the selected elements8. Click the Cancel Filter button to clear all applied filters and restore the full results list9. Users can sort any column in the results table in Ascending or Descending order by selecting the appropriate option from the context menu that appears after right-clicking on the column header. The sorting can also be cleared from the same menu
