Takt Planning – Create a copy of your Master schedule for Progress

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

A canvas in the Takt Planning module should contain tasks from only one project schedule, which must be uploaded via the Schedules Module in BEXEL CDE. Since the Takt Planning module is intended to support on-site progress tracking, it is recommended to create a copy of the Master Schedule specifically for this purpose. This copy, used exclusively for entering progress data, is referred to as the Actual Schedule. To create a copy of your master schedule, follow these steps:

1. In the Schedule Editor module in BEXEL Manager, select your Master project schedule (Planned Schedule) from the drop-down list

2. Click the Duplicate button to open the New Schedule window

3. Enter the name for your Actual Schedule, add a description (optional)

4. Define the Baseline Schedule (the Schedule that was copied)

5. Select Schedule Cost Version

6. Click OK to create a copy of the Master Schedule, which will be used for tracking progress

7. Actual Schedule ready for progress input is created

8. Publish the newly created schedule to CDE project by selecting one of the available options in the Publish Version section of the BEXEL CDE tab.
For detailed steps on how to publish, refer to the Schedules chapter in the Features section of this playbook

Tips and tricks

Only the columns currently displayed in the selected schedule will be published to the CDE. To ensure all necessary data is included, make sure all relevant columns are visible. To manage visible columns, right-click on the column header toolbar and select the Choose Columns option from the context menu.
