Access Rights

You can now configure project access rights on the section/module level!
Access rights are managed from the Project Users window, now extended with new options per section/module.
Three access levels are available per section/module:
– No Access – user has no access to the section/module.
– Read – user can view the section/module but cannot make any changes.
– Edit – user has full rights to view, modify, add, or delete content within the section/module.
For BCF Manager, Dos, and BI Analytics modules, only two access rights levels are available (No Access, Edit), while access control is available for each BCF Issue, and Document.
With this change, by default, users with Viewer and CDE access automatically receive access to other modules. Access to BCF and Documents depends on the user’s license.
Project Administrators always have full rights across all modules.

BCF.Server

The possibility of defining custom issue types and priorities at the BCF project level has been introduced. These can be managed via BCF Manager → Settings.
Updating of Snapshot, Viewpoint, Selection, Visibility, and Coloring, and the overall scene on existing BCF issues has been enabled.
New BCF report tags have been added:
– {ISSUE_TAGS} (outputs a comma-separated list of tags, e.g., TAG1, TAG2, TAG3),
– {ISSUE_INDEX} (outputs the value from the Index field),
– {ISSUE_SNAPSHOT} (outputs the issue snapshot/thumbnail).
Added tags are available in both Single and Multiple reports.
Also, PDF image rendering has been improved and multiple reports are now sorted by Issue Index regardless of whether {ISSUE_INDEX} is used in the template.
The following updates related to work with BCF issues are made:
– For Clash issue types, the Filter By Selected Elements option now uses Visible elements from the issue rather than Selected elements.
– Activating a BCF issue now automatically disables all other Color Coded modes (QTO/CBS, Clash Detection, Schedule, etc.)
– Text selection and copy from comments has been enabled.
– The Assigned To field is no longer required when creating or editing any issue type.
– The Deadline field is no longer autofilled when creating BCF Issues from templates.
The issue that caused incorrect filtering of Clash issues when using Filter By Selected Elements has been fixed.
The issue causing incorrect camera positioning when importing a BCF file exported from BEXEL CDE to Revit via the BIM Collab client has been corrected.

BI Analytics

New BEXEL CDE BI Analytics Module
Introduced BEXEL CDE BI Analytics module, enabling the creation of fully interactive BIM dashboards directly within the CDE.
Currently supported data domains include:
– Properties (Model Explorer),
– Clash Detection
– BCF (single project version).
Additional domains coming in future releases.
UI Access: Activate via Modules → BI Analytics. We recommend docking the panel to the lower group of windows and saving the layout.
Dashboard Creation: Create or edit reports via Edit in Designer, selecting one or more data sources with extensive configuration options, similar to other BI tools (such as MS PowerBI).
Additionally, the support for BCF multi-project / multi-version dashboards is enabled. The option is currently available to Account Administrators from the project list home page.
Upcoming releases will expand multi-project/multi-version analytics to more data domains as well as provide the possibility to integrate external data sources.

General

The model conversion process has been accelerated, reducing the time between publishing a new model version from BEXEL Manager and its availability in the BEXEL CDE.

Docs

Copy and Move options have been implemented.
- After selecting the desired files, right-click and choose Copy Selected Files or Move Selected Files from the context menu. A dialog will appear, prompting you to select the destination folder where the files will be copied or moved.
- For the Move option, access rights are retained, but users must have at least Read permissions in the destination folder to see the moved files. If a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder, the moved file will be renamed.
- For the Copy option, access rights are inherited from the parent folder — identical to uploading a new file to that folder. If a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder, it will be replaced.
- These options currently support working with one or more selected files within a single folder.
The issue where the time (Changed On) in the file History was not displayed in the local time zone has been fixed.

Mobile Version

BEXEL CDE Mobile Version is now available!
Mobile-optimized user interface for the BEXEL CDE is now available, designed for convenient access from mobile devices. The mobile version is automatically activated when accessing the CDE via a mobile device browser. After logging in, the list of available projects is shown. Once a project is selected, navigation is available to BCF Issues (default choice) and the Docs system. A “Request Desktop Site” option is also available at the browser tab/page level, allowing you to switch between the desktop and mobile interface as needed.
In this initial release, the mobile interface supports:
– Project list view
– BCF Issues list
– BCF Issue editor (create/edit issues), including comments and linked documents
– Document view with file upload capability
BCF Issue Creation on Mobile – creation of a new BCF issue directly from your mobile device is enabled for the following types:
– Issue
– Approval
– Document Set
– Discussion
(Creation of Document Approval BCF issue type is not supported in this phase.)
When creating a BCF Issue, it is supported to select a snapshot from your gallery or cloud storage, or take a new photo directly with your device’s camera (e.g., to register and initiate communication for a quality or safety issue). For existing BCFs, snapshot preview and download are available. Also, document linking and adding comments are enabled once the issue is created.
Docs System Mobile Interface – upload of one or multiple files to the currently selected directory via the + button in the top-left corner is enabled, as well as to select a file to access with Preview and Download options available.

Schedule

Added Select Leaf Tasks and Select Filtered Leaf Tasks options in the Gantt context menu, matching the behavior in BEXEL Manager.
Fixed Select Elements so it works correctly in grouped schedules and on parent tasks.
Added option to color tasks in the Gantt based on whether they are included in Takt Planning.
Also, the task coloring mode selection is now enabled, allowing you to collor only Bars or Rows, or Both.
Default column filter function for textual properties in Gantt is now set to “one of”.
Enabled search for tasks by name using multiple values (it is necessary to separate values by commas).
Schedule realted notification dialogs now appear centered on the screen with adjusted width to avoid overflow.
The date-based Gantt filtering option has been added to filter in Gantt for tasks with the start date within a defined interval from the Status Date (Look-ahead) or a custom entered date and within the defined filter duration (look-ahead period); This filter combines with other Gantt filters.
Column “Added To Last Planner” is renamed to “Added To Takt Planning” in Gantt.
Activity tab (with activities and corresponding quantities related to task) has been added to the Task Information panel (accessible from the Gantt toolbar).
In grouped schedules, only cost values (Total Cost, Baseline Total Cost, Other Cost, etc.) are now displayed in group nodes while duration values are excluded from aggregation; A new column Total Calendar Days that calculates the number of days between Start and Finish dates, is added and is also available in group nodes.
Fixed an issue preventing creation of new progress entries.
Fixed an issue causing occasional crashes when changing the active schedule.
Fixed “any of” column filter so it works for all textual columns, not just Name.
Fixed an issue where clicking Refresh in Gantt duplicated custom columns.
Corrected AddedToPlanner = True assignment so it is only set when tasks are actually added to Last Planner.
Fixed incorrect Start Date and Finish Date calculation when default grouping was disabled in some schedules.

Takt Planning

Progress entry based on element selection within the Takt Planning module has been enabled. When creating a progress entry the option “Auto-add tasks from model”, based on element selection provides the list of activities to choose from and include into the progress entry. Only activities planned in that progress entry interval will be added automatically. Sending and updating the schedule in BEXEL Manager based on such progress entries requires version 25.7.1.0 or later.
An option to duplicate an existing canvas within the Takt Planning module has been added.
Within the Takt Planning module canvas, color selection has been enabled for locations, not only resources. Colors can be assigned by double-clicking the field in the Color column and selecting a color from the dropdown.
Tasks within the canvas are now highlighted when hovering over them in the Progress Editor while Progress Mode is active. If the task is not visible, double-clicking it in the Progress Editor will navigate to it in the canvas.
The “Add to Progress Entry” option can now be used from the canvas even when multiple tasks are selected.
A warning message is now displayed when attempting to change the canvas or close the Takt Planning window without saving changes.
The issue where newly added tasks in Last Planner were not immediately updated with the correct color when “Added To Planner” coloring was applied has been resolved.
The issue that caused the progress entry to reset or the timeline to move off-screen when resizing the canvas has been fixed.
The issue where deleting a canvas displayed incorrect error messages and left tasks visible has been resolved.
The issue where a task segments were split again instead of being moved to the next interval during “Complete Entry” has been fixed.
The issue preventing the entry of more than one progress entry has been resolved, as well as various minor interface-caused problems (e.g., disabled buttons, inability to add tasks in Progress Mode).
The issue where the number of completed elements within a progress entry was calculated incorrectly in some cases has been resolved.
The issue preventing “Complete Entry” from working in Last Planner has been fixed.
The bug where “Select BIM Elements in This Entry” did not correctly select elements for the current entry has been fixed
The bug preventing non-admin users from saving a canvas has been resolved.
The bug where previous entries displayed an incorrect number of completed elements has been fixed.
Rare cases where completing an entry could cause critical errors have been addressed.

Version Compare

Version Compare
The ability to compare two versions of a CDE project via the BEXEL CDE portal has been introduced.
The comparison is performed through the QTO/CBS module, where, after loading the model and selecting elements, a New Version Compare/QTO option becomes available – within the menu, alongside regular element groupings, a Version Compare Rule (highlighted in blue) can be applied at any grouping level. A Project Version for Comparison must be selected, after which the Verson Compare rule may generate a breakdown tree to include:
– Added Elements (blue) – not present in the compared version.
– Elements Without Change (green) – geometry and location unchanged compared to the selected version.
– Geometry Changed Elements (orange) – geometry changed compared to the selected version.
– Location Changed Elements (orange) – location changed compared to the selected version.
– Removed Elements (red, not visible in the viewer) – present in the compared version but missing in the current one.
When the comparison is created with only a subset of elements selected, the generated nodes will reflect only that subset. Only Removed Elements will display the total missing element count regardless of selection.
Note: Comparison is available only for CDE projects that have at least two versions published from BEXEL Manager version 25.8.0.0 or later.

Clash Detection

The ability to insert new columns in the Clash Detection module based on Element Properties has been introduced.
– Columns can be added via right-click on the Clash Pairs table header and selecting Choose Column.
– Upon selection, two new columns (for left and right elements) are added for all selected clash pairs across the selected clash jobs.
– If an element does not contain the chosen property, the column will display an empty value.
– Columns can be removed with Remove Column or temporarily hidden with Hide Column. Hidden columns can be restored via the Column Chooser.
– Custom column values are also displayed at the group level; if values differ, Different Values is shown.
It is enabled to generate BCF Issues directly from selected clash pairs or groups. The action requires the BCF window to be active.
Upon selection of Clash Pairs or Groups two options are available via right-click context menu:
– Create BCF → Single: Creates one BCF Issue (type Clash) from all selected pairs/groups, keeping the current camera view.
– Create BCF → Multiple: Creates one BCF Issue per selected pair/group, keeping camera orientation but zooming in on each Clash pair / Group.
If both clash groups and pairs inside them are selected, issues will be created only from the groups.
If BCF Templates for type Clash exist, they are offered as sub-options for both Single and Multiple; template fields are transferred to each new issue. Newly created issues are auto-selected for easy editing or assignment.
This action does not trigger instant notifications, only daily notifications if enabled. Also, the user is warned when creating more than 50 BCF issues for selected pairs/groups; the limit is set 200, above which the user is warned and the process is aborted.
Fixed an issue where the Select All Clashes option did not work correctly when a column filter was applied.

QTO/CBS

Corrected behavior, so changing the QTO/CBS or switching in and out of Color Coded mode no longer alters the visibility of elements in the viewer.

Properties

Fixed an issue where editing a property in some cases retained the value of the previously edited property.

Selection Sets

Corrected behavior where, after editing a folder/Selection Set, the Add Selection Set/Add Folder dialog would still display the name of the previously edited Selection Set.
