BEXEL Manager – December 2025

Estimated reading: 5 minutes
Version: 25.12.3

BCF

  • Added support for adding web links within BCF comments has been enabled in the BCF Manager tab.
As on the CDE page, open the Comments section and click the link icon.

CDE Publisher

  • Enabled updating properties on an existing CDE model version.

Updating is not possible if the CDE project version was published using a BEXEL Manager version lower than v25.0.0.0. In that case publishing new model version is recommended.

If the project version was published with a BEXEL Manager version higher than v25.0.0.0 but lower than v25.8.5, only element properties can be updated.

For BEXEL Manager versions v25.8.5.0 or higher, all properties (element and model) can be updated.

The update wizard now includes a Properties section and a screen for selecting which properties to update.
Properties can be filtered for update using the “Display properties from parents” option.

Cost

  • Added an option to filter already assigned cost items in the Cost Item linking forms. The option can be activated by clicking Filter Assigned in the toolbar.

IFC Publisher

  • Rebar in IFC files is now processed as linear (line) geometry by default. This behavior can be controlled via the settings file (IfcImporterSettings.cfg):

    • ReinforcementAsLines
When set to true, reinforcement is imported as line geometry, resulting in a significant performance improvement.
When set to false, the original geometry is preserved.

    • SegmentationParts
If the profile geometry or extrusion path is derived from Circle, Ellipse, or NURBS formulas, this option directly controls the import “quality” by defining the segmentation level.

    • MaxSegmentationLength
If SegmentationParts results in segments that are too long, this option can be used to limit segment length. In that case, the effective segmentation will be calculated as:
    ElementExtrusionLength / MaxSegmentationLength.

  • Added support for IfcBuiltElement to be loaded into BEXEL Manager.

Progress

  • The Progress Entry Editor form now opens on the screen where BEXEL Manager is active, instead of always opening on the main screen as before.

Projects

  • Enabled partial loading of model geometry by sources. Selecting only specific sources when opening a project will significantly speed up the project loading process.

This option is offered when opening a project from the following forms:
    • Projects and Versions form
    • Recent Projects form

A context menu has been added with the options Open Entire Project and Open Selected Sources. The partial loading form includes a “Don’t show again” option. If checked, the selective loading form will not appear the next time the project is opened.

Properties

  • Added a title and icon to the message for the “Reevaluate Calculated Properties (Selected)” option.

Schedule

  • Enabled drawing of horizontal and vertical lines inside the PDF Export of Gantt view. Also, a third time scale can now also be displayed in PDF exports (Schedule Editor -> Export -> Export To PDF (Gantt)).
  • Enabled export of the baseline schedule to MS Project (Schedule Editor -> Export -> Export To MS Project).
  • Fixed an issue where tasks were not sorted or expanded in PDF, MS Project, and Excel exports to match the Gantt view. Additionally, when filters are active, only visible tasks are exported.
  • Fixed an issue where exporting schedules to PDF failed when tasks had negative prices. Schedules are now exported correctly, including tasks with both positive and negative prices.
  • The ‘Reschedule Uncompleted Work’ process is now performed automatically after importing schedules exported from BEXEL Manager into MS Project.

Selection Sets

  • Enabled easier creation of smart selection sets based on selected properties in the Properties tab

Two new options are available in the context menu of the Properties tab: “Create Selection Set” and “Add Rule to Selection Set”.

    Create Selection Set:
    • Select one or more elements (from any category) and the desired properties in the Properties tab.
    • Right-click and choose “Create Selection Set”.
    • A form opens to edit the new selection set, with rules pre-filled based on the selected properties.
    • Rules always include the EQUALS condition; if multiple properties are selected, an AND condition is added.
    • Users can enter a name for the selection set and edit the rules before final creation.
    • If multiple selection set folders are selected, or a combination of folders and sets, the option will be disabled.

    Add Rule to Selection Set:
    • Select a single smart selection set in the selection set tree.
    • Right-click in the Properties tab and choose “Add Rule to Selection Set”.
    • If no selection set or multiple selection sets/folders are selected, the option will be disabled.

Revit

  • Fixed an issue where Angle-type properties displayed incorrect values in models imported from Revit (Issue 7766). The unit settings defined during publishing from Revit were not taken into account. To apply this fix, please download the latest version of the Revit Publisher (9.0.2.0) from the BEXEL Help Center.

Work Package

  • Base functionality for tendering and bidding has been enabled in BEXEL Manager.

After creating a work package via the BEXEL CDE portal, users can select the corresponding CDE project in BEXEL Manager that contains the desired work packages. Once a CDE project with work packages is selected, cost assignments can be linked to contracts using the Assign to Work Package Contract option.

New columns have been added to the Cost Estimate tab: Work Package Code, Work Package Name, Contract Code, and Contract Name. Also, export to Excel and import from Excel are now available.

In the Schedule section, within the Task Editor, the Cost and Quantities tabs now display the columns: Work Package Code, Work Package Name, Contract Code, and Contract Name.

Additionally, cost assignments can now be grouped by work package contract in the Cost Estimate tab.
