BEXEL Manager – September 2026

Estimated reading: 3 minutes
Version: 26.9.4

CDE Publisher

  • Introduced support for publishing multiple Sources to the New Viewer (tile-based), allowing models to be published as separate Sources and enabling users to control how they are divided and displayed in BEXEL CDE.
    • Source division can be configured in the BEXEL CDE Publish Wizard. For optimal performance, it is recommended to divide Sources based on spatial structure rather than logical grouping.
    • Publishing options are set to publish data for the New Viewer by default. Publishing for the legacy Viewer can also be enabled manually when needed.
  • Added geolocation support for the New Viewer. BEXEL Manager can now read, preserve, and display geolocation metadata from IFC and Revit models and transfer it when publishing to BEXEL CDE, allowing models to be positioned at their real-world geographic locations. Available locations can be reviewed and selected during publishing. The selected geolocation can also be changed later in BEXEL CDE.
  • Enabled publishing of Total Float schedule data for use in DCMA and BI Analytics. Total Float and Baseline Total Float values are published automatically with schedule data.
  • Enabled publishing of Task Activity / Cost Item-level BI Analytics data to BEXEL CDE. The BEXEL CDE Publish Wizard now provides separate Export Task BI Data and Export Task Activity BI Data options for each Schedule, allowing users to publish detailed task activity and cost data for analysis in BEXEL CDE BI Analytics.
  • Improved performance when publishing complex projects to the New Viewer.
  • Added support for defining Schedule Type in the Schedule Editor. Once published to BEXEL CDE, this information can be used in BI Analytics.
  • Added compatibility checks between BEXEL Manager and BEXEL CDE servers, displaying a warning when the server version does not meet the requirements for publishing, importing, or updating project data. This is particularly important for on-premises BEXEL CDE installations, where server updates may be managed independently.
  • Fixed an issue where published grids could be incorrectly positioned relative to the model.
  • Fixed an issue where Family and Building Storey properties were not updated correctly in some CDE project versions.

BCF

  • Introduced enhanced element count warnings when creating or updating BCF Issues to help prevent performance issues with large selections or excessive numbers of visible elements.
    • Added warnings when selections exceed 1,000 elements or the number of visible elements exceeds 10,000, with critical thresholds of 5,000 and 30,000 elements, respectively.
    • Users can choose how to save the Viewpoint when limits are exceeded, with additional warnings and confirmation required when saving above critical thresholds.

IFC

  • Fixed an issue where Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) elements were not imported from IFC files.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent model updates when different IFC elements generated the same internal identifier.

Navisworks

  • Added BEXEL Publisher add-ins for Navisworks 2025, 2026, and 2027. The add-ins are available for download here.
  • Improved geometry precision when publishing geolocated Navisworks models located far from the coordinate origin, preventing elements from appearing distorted or separated at connections.
  • Improved performance and stability when publishing large Navisworks models, with more responsive progress reporting and the ability to cancel publishing during element processing.

Mesh Optimization

  • Fixed issues where grid lines could shift unexpectedly when updating projects and Mesh Optimization was not applied correctly to elements in the Walls category.

Schedule

  • Fixed an issue where User Defined Fields were not imported when importing schedules from a Primavera database.
  • Fixed an issue where Excel schedule import could fail when both predecessor and successor row-index columns were present.

Methodology

  • Fixed an issue where a Methodology Item could not be created unless the suggested name was changed.

User Interface

  • Updated and expanded application localization resources.
