Custom Breakdowns (CBS) and Quantity Takeoffs (QTO) Estimated reading: 2 minutes The Quantity Takeoff module is used for calculating the quantities of individual groups of elements directly from the geometry of the 3D model. Color Coding Rules can be set in BEXEL Manager and published to BEXEL CDE to visually present elements in the viewer as a group of individual elements that a specific quantity takeoff contains. The Color-Coded Custom Breakdowns module is used to classify the elements based on certain criteria. Usually, these criteria refer to the specific property of the selected elements. Navigate to the QTO/CBS tab.In a drop-down menu, select a CBS or QTOTo enable Color-coding click Color Coded On buttonBy selecting a row in the CBS/QTO model, elements related to that category are automatically selectedBy clicking the Hide Unselected button, selected elements will be automatically isolated in model view Creating new QTO/CBS directly in BEXEL CDE 6. QTO and CBS structures can be uploaded from BEXEL Manager through the Publish process described earlier. However, users can also create a new CBS/QTO directly within the module by selecting the +New CBS/QTO option7. In the Name section, the user provides the name of the CBS/QTO8. To define its breakdown structure, select the desired fields in the Breakdown Rules section. New breakdown rules can be added by clicking the +Add Rule button9. Similarly, quantities can be added by clicking the +Add Quantity button10. Selected Breakdown Rules and Quantity fields can be reordered by clicking and holding the drag handle, then dragging and dropping the field to a new position11.
