Model Loading and Sources module Estimated reading: 2 minutes The Sources module offers a multi-level model structure for efficient work with large BIM models. It allows segmentation by subcontractors, zones, and floors, making it simple to display the relevant model subset for the user’s current meeting. Instead of loading instantly, users have the option to filter and select sources by clicking on the “Load Sources” button. This provides manual control and customizes the loading process by choosing specific sources according to user preferences rather than having all sources loaded automatically. When the desired project version is open, the default layout of BEXEL CDE interface is displayed with the Sources tab on the left side and blank 3D viewer on the rightThe list of source files is visible in In the Sources tabAfter checking desired source or multiple sources files or folders, click Load Sources buttonThe model is visible in the Viewer module Note For better performance and shorter load times, avoid loading the complete Federated Model if it is not necessary. Instead, load only the individual project folder you want to review and analyse. 6. By right-clicking within the Sources list, a context menu appears with options to Add New Folder, Add New Source, or Delete the selected source or folderThe options to Add New Folder and Add New Source are only available when the user right-clicks on an existing folder. Note If, for any reason, the user chooses to skip publishing the project from BEXEL Manager, it is possible to manually upload IFC, GLB, and point cloud files (LAS/LAZ) directly to the created CDE Project Version by following Step 6 on this slide. Each uploaded file will appear as a separate source in the Sources list.
