Use the Set Color Coding Rule to visually present elements in the Perspective Color Coded or Ortho Color Coded view as a group of individual elements that a specific quantity takeoff contains. This is useful for better visualization of certain QTO items in a color-coded view.

The Set Color Coding Rule command can be used when creating or editing the new quantity takeoff.

Select the created quantity takeoff → Select the Edit icon → Click on the Reset Tree button → Select the condition to apply the color coding rule → In the toolbar, choose Set Color Coding Rule → Click Generate → Click OK → Activate the Perspective Color Coded or Ortho Color Coded view tab in the Viewport window → Select the Quantity Takeoffs from Viewer Mode, located in the right corner.

Change color in color-coded Quantity takeoff

To change generated color, in Quantity Takeoff Editor, select the position to change → Select Choose Color → Choose the color from the palette → Finish the process by clicking OK.

Multiple positions in the breakdown structure can change color at once.

Turn off the color-coded rule command

To turn off the color-coded rule, in Quantity Takeoff Editor, click Reset Tree → Click Set Color Coding Rule to turn it off → Finish the process by clicking OK.
